Requirement
§
This individual will be an accomplished technical product manager
with more than 5 years of hands-on experience with wireless core network
platforms. Some experience as a
wireless product manager is desired. The person will also be knowledgeable in the areas of wireless
networks, Push-to-Talk, PoC, SS7, ISUP, MSC, and the 3GPP network
architecture.
Role and
Responsibilities
§
Develop and
implement a clearly defined Push-to-Talk (PTT) product roadmap.
§
Develop the PTT
server product specifications and functional specifications.
§
Define accurate
product requirements for use by the development teams in order to ensure
the on time delivery of new products and features.
§
Work closely
with customers to develop both enhancements to the current products and the
proactive definition of new products.
§
Develop
customer presentations and documents on the product portfolio for use by
the sales & marketing organization.
§
Provide
responses to customer’s RFIs/RFPs.
Background and Education
§
The person will understand the challenges related to system
deployment and network operations & management including:
-
Knowledge of GSM/UMTS/CDMA networks
-
Knowledge of network interfaces for feature
implementation
-
Knowledge of both circuit and packet core networks
-
Understanding of SMS applications
-
Experience with telecom platforms and sub-systems
§
This person
will also have experience in making customer presentations.
§
An
undergraduate B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or
related discipline is required. An
advanced degree is preferred.
